Suggested letter:

Dear (addressee),

We have been informed about the accusation made by your office against the prominent Nicaraguan citizen Dora María Téllez, of her alleged involvement in terrorist activities. In this letter, I/we want to express to you the following:

1) That I/we reject the accusation made against Dora María Téllez by the US Department of State (State Dept.) through the Consular Section of the US Embassy in Managua in declaring that Dora María Téllez allegedly was or is involved in terrorist activities.

2) That I/we affirm my/our solidarity with Dora María Téllez because such an accusation is clearly deceitful, arbitrary, indiscriminate, and disproportionate.

3) That I/we condemn such accusation because in addition of violating her human rights, it also threatens her personal security and puts her life in danger.

4) That I/we demand from the State Dept. immediate reparation of this violation of the human and civil rights of Dora María Téllez by means of a public apology and by means of an immediate public recantation and termination of such accusation.

The human rights of Dora María Téllez must be restored. Without reparation of violated human rights, there is no respect or preservation of people’s dignity and security.
Sincerely,

Signed by . . .
